Working closely with manufacturers, Toby has designed furniture ranges for commercial use, including dining chairs and tables, bar stools and benches, indoor and outdoor lounges and occasional items.
The Peg stool is made from EchoPanel, a material produced from recycled and recyclable PET.
A 1200mm x 1200mm flat panel is cut to shape, and scoring along the fold lines allows the material to bend easily. Timber pegs made from Tasmanian Oak are pushed into aligning holes to lock the 4 sides in place. The fold around ‘tabs’ become pockets, where magazines and newspapers can easily slide into, increasing the stools usefulness.
In 2013 the Peg Stool won the ‘Best Sustainable Design Award’ at the Australian International Furniture Fair.
Hangman is a fun and inviting coat stand for kids.
Made in Melbourne from Australian Hoop Pine plywood and recycled plastic, a puzzle-like joining method allows the materials to connect without any use of adhesives.
Hangman is an engaging way for parents to encourage their kids to hang up their clothes.
